The same applies in the event of a divorce, to revert back to a maiden name, the Zimbabwean National ID needs to be changed. This process cannot be done at the Embassy. The Applicant will have to travel to Zimbabwe with a Marriage Certificate or a Divorce Certificate. If the Marriage Certificate or Divorce Certificate was issued in Zimbabwe, the documents will be accepted as they are in their original form.
